BAKING SODA

BAKING SODA

Bicarbonate (NaHCO3), also known as sodium acid carbonate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, bicarbonate of soda or vichy salt, is a white crystalline solid compound obtained from a naturally occurring mineral called natron, which contains large amounts of baking soda.

Odorless, white crystalline powder. Suitable for use in food.

  • SUGGESTED USE

    Suitable for use in food.

It is used in cakes and pastries as a gasifying agent to fluff or add volume to pastry dough.

It is also used for its acidifying effect and as an acidity corrector.

Sodium carbonate is a great ally in household cleaning products: washing clothes, stain removers (grease and wine), degreaser for kitchen cleaning products, descaler for the bathroom, etc.

    • It is degreaser and helps remove stains from clothing.
    • Softens the water, favoring the action of the soap and the creation of foam.
    • It maintains the colors (in fact it is used in the dyeing of clothes as a fixative of the colorants).
    • It is also used as a descaler (for cleaning bathrooms and tiles for example).
  • ALERGENS

It is a chemical component for which its use has to be moderate.
